A totally instigrammed photo of the Hexagon quilt.
You know some times you make a quilt and you like it once its finished, then other times you make a quilt and really really like it once it's finished? Yeah this is one of *those* quilts :)
I started with a fabric pull of dirty navy and pumpkin then built it up from there adding black essex linen and the final boarder.
As promised I backed a quilt in something other than ikea cotton!
I adore this print from Pat Bravo, it's a ditsy floral with super strong colours and I knew pretty much straight away it was going on the back of these hexagons!
I can honestly say machine piecing those 6 sided beggars is the way to go!
I have to share the "Out Take" photos from our trip to the beach, someone fancied learning to fly.
and the other someone needed lessons in sitting on a bench!
The quilt is now in my shop ready to go to it's new home
